Thinking back to the early days of the full-scale invasion.

I made this drawing in the spring of 2022, when I was on duty at a block-post [a defensive fortification] and my son was on patrol with the territorial defence unit in our town. It was Easter and we heard the sound of an air raid alert many times during the night. I could not record while I was on duty, and I made the recording itself in November 2023. The frequent sound of the air raid alert and the very bright night lanterns of the block-post gave me the idea to create this picture. The drawing and the sound together are very atmospheric and evoke in me some sort of special feeling of war.
я зробив цей малюнок навесні 2022 року, коли чергувала на блокпості [оборонному укріпленні], а мій син патрулював з підрозділом територіальної оборони в нашому місті. Був Великдень, і ми багато разів вночі чули звук повітряної тривоги. Я не могла нічого записувати під час чергування, а саме цей запис був зроблений мною у листопаді 2023 року. Частий звук повітряної тривоги та дуже яскраві нічні ліхтарі блокпосту дали мені ідею створити цю картину. Картина та звук разом є дуже атмосферними та викликають у мене якесь особливе відчуття війни.
